It has a cast-iron block and comes equipped with a 100-amp battery charging alternator. Rated at 1800 RPM, the engine uses a spin-on oil filter with pressure relief valve.Cummins’ brushless 4-pole revolving field alternator is drip proof with a 2/3 pitch rotor for a no-load to full-load waveform distortion of less than 5% and less than 3% for any single harmonic.
