Lapis Lazuli Mosaic Oval Table

Description Details: Origin: Kabul, Afghanistan Age: Recently Made Dimensions: 32.5” Length x 22.5” Width x 22.5” Height Description: This amazing lapis lazuli mosaic oval table was hand-made in a workshop in Kabul, Afghanistan. Hundreds of pounds of high quality lapis lazuli from the mines of Afghanistan was used to create this incredibly heavy table that is almost entirely built out of the semi-precious stone. The center of the stand was reenforced with a metal rod, and then covered with lapis lazuli. This table was originally commissioned for a foreign royal family member, and was very difficult and expensive to build; there is only one of these in the entire world. The table is in excellent condition and is very sturdy. While it makes an excellent display piece, it can also be used for its intended purpose as a table. More then 200 pounds of rough top quality of lapis was used for creation of this magnificent piece.
